Worked at Scaleby Hall. Given a "Walkingame's Arithmetic" book on 26 Oct 1852 & again on 3th Jan (Jun?) 1853.
His son, William Johnson, also signed this book (see image for his entry) and the back cover has written on it, in pencil, "Georgina Shields"
John Johnson himself may have signed the book at the top of the flyleaf (see image) and again on the inside cover, but at least one of these signature (they are different) is likely to be John Joseph Johnson (his grandson) through whom the book was passed down.
Possibly born in Eldon Street
Her son Thomas William (from first marriage) was killed in the war.
Mary went to USA (probably via Canada) and remarried a Klarman who was a widower. Mary then had 2 sons -- the first called Thomas William, as before. Were both of these sons also killed in the war?
Did she then marry a Schultz?
Known as Connie.
Always known as Betty.
